Table Extension for Sabre 350 / 450

This UK-made high-quality steel table extension fits the SABRE-350 and SABRE-450 bandsaws, giving an extra 545 x 300 mm working area to increase the support the machine gives to larger timbers. It can be fitted either to the rear or the right-hand side of the main table, to give support where it is needed most.

To ensure accurate fitment and smooth movement of timber, the table extension features fine-adjustment mechanisms to allow the extension to be fitted perfectly flush to the table.

The Cobra band saw guide system enables the conversion of Record Power BS300E and BS350S band saws into a high-productivity tunnel.

The system is easily interchangeable with standard machine guides, making the band saw a truly multifunctional machine, and unlocks a new area of creative opportunities.

The use of this guidance system allows the creation of much higher pieces than is possible using a traditional tunnel, also benefiting from the much larger motor power of a band saw.

​The advantage is that you have a continuous blade that discharges the chip down, out of the piece; while in the tunnel the chip is discharged only for the pendulum movement stretch and the remaining chip can exit the cutting zone only by crawling between the blade and the walls of the piece, these are the main reasons of the breakage of the openwork blades and the piece burns.

Another fundamental advantage is that the blade does not move up and down like a tunnel blade, but moves in a continuous cycle, always with a downward cutting movement. This means that there is no risk of the part being projected upwards, making operation safer and easier.

It uses a very thin blade, and the bearing guide is equipped with three grooves, because for prolonged use, for many hours of work, the quarry is subject to wear and wear; therefore having 3 grooves is a great advantage for not having to replace in a few years the guide, but it will be enough to use another of the available quarries.
