The only part alive of the wood is the living phloem, under the bark.

Thanks to this part the wood grows.

Xylophage bugs deposit larvae on the green wood that starts to eat living phloem. For this reason, is necessary to remove the bark of seasoned wood.

Handle made with beech wood, Cr Steel Blade heat treated to the hardness of 55 HRc. Supplied with a leather cutting edge protection.
