Protective oil for metals and in particular for HSS.

As we all know, steel being a compound based on iron and carbon (plus other alloy metals) it is subject to oxidation and rust.

This specific oil is made up of components that have two functions:

The first Dewatering is to penetrate deeply into all the micro asperities and cracks of the metal (due to processing) and combine with water (even if it were only humidity in the air) and make it evaporate.

The second is Protection, or replacing water with a layer of paraffins that can dry and protect the metal from oxidation for a long time.

This allows our object to resist and remain shiny and efficient much longer, also considering that the wood is hygroscopic (it attracts moisture) and when not seasoned it contains tannins, or acids that combined with water favor oxidation of metals.

Tool rest Rod

Made of solid construction steel and threaded M12x1 mm to allow screwing the special Tool rest bar.

The pin is very long to adapt to all lathes on the market, if it is too long for your machine it is possible to cut a part; for this, we have prepared grooves to facilitate cutting.

We recommend, once the pin and bar have been assembled, to leave them assembled, in fact, we put a drop of thread locker to prevent them from loosening during processing.

Tool rest Bar

Very often we find ourselves returning to having the tool rest supplied with our lathe too short or too long.
With a modular system, you can manage the length of the fan bar as you wish.
Ø 25mm in solid construction steel is threaded M12x1 mm to allow you to insert the special fan pin specific to your lathe.

We recommend, once the pin and bar have been assembled, to leave them assembled, in fact, we put a drop of thread locker to prevent them from loosening during processing.

Joystick milling for wood lathe 4281

Allows milling, with the aid of a milling machine, grooves and slots directly on the workpiece following the shape given to the piece. For milling a milling machine with the collar of Ø 43 mm is used to be anchored to the support, the correct working position is with the axis of the cutter coinciding with the axis of the lathe, it is possible to deliberately set a different height to obtain with the cutter a different profile.

This position is easy to reach by micrometric adjustment. The milling reference accepts cutters up to Ø 20mm, the milling depth is adjustable.
The Joystick rod slides on a heavy and stable steel support base, this must be placed on a wooden table of suitable dimensions (not supplied) according to your lathe and the dimensions of the object to be worked.
To block the rotation you can use the indexing of your lathe, or if it is not equipped (or inaccurate) you can use ourè index 24 art 3945 or Index 40- 48-72 è art 3944 .

By mounting any wood milling machine with the collar of Ø 43 mm you can make both milling operations that follow the shape of the piece

The operation's increment is precise, thanks to the presence of a nonius with twenty divisions (every 0,05 mm).

Double function woodturning compass
Easy to use, it consists of a steel element with dual function.
The graduated scale, which is placed on one side, allows to trace the diameter for the chuck grasp, starting directly from the centre.
Its second function consists of an adjustable compass, whose tip can be hit by a hammer in order to mark the centre.

Technical data

Constructed from 2 mm thick steel plate, this efficient tool helps to find the centre of branches, round and irregular workpieces, ranging from few millimetres to 27 or 31 cm in diameter.
The two steel supports on the bottom side of the plate provide a reference point and make this device stable.
Moreover this device features numerous holes and semi-holes to control the diameter of the workpiece and its cylindricity. The slots on the right side of the plate are used to check the angle of the tools to be sharpened. There is
also a 75è caliber on the right bottom corner to verify the dovetail profile of the workpiece to grip the chuck.
