HSS Hollowing Termite Tip with Straight Shank

Conceived for realize internal hollows in a very quick and efficient way. It is possible to rotate the hollowing cup if the blade has lost its cutting edge.
It requires a good dose of mastery in the use because it works with significant portions of material; The optional Ø14mm insert provides better control because it is smaller.
The straight shank must be fitted into a silicon covered handle to buy separately (Art. 4030 or 4125).

Otherwise, it is possible to buy the complete article with a wooden handle Art. 4128.
Recommended for excavations up to 140 mm depth.

Specific for works across the grain with limiter included. Suitable for beginners and experience workers.

This limiter prevents the removal of an excessive portion of material during the termite attack. It is possible to adjust the position of the limiter pressing it directly in the area where you want more removal by fixing it screwing the screw.

We recommend to use the limiter every time. The limiter can be modified by the woodturner according to his experience.

HSS Termite TipØ 10mm Optional art 4227

Made of High-Speed Steel (HSS). Ideal for every type of wood. It operates with a cutting angle (15° to 45°)
The special shape of the cutting edge allows to remove big quantities of material in a very short time. It requires expert hand, knowledge of the material and an excellent control.
The cup can be sharpened again.
 

Spare Parts and optional fitments

The 16 mm knives are perfect for both internal and external works, while the 21x23 mm are only appropriate for external use. For internal operations, it is recommendable to use a cutting angle of 45°, such as a scraper tool.
Art. 4020 is designed for creating the dovetail to match the profile of the chuck jaws both in expansion and in contraction.
Made of hard metal (HM). It's doesn't need frequent sharpening.

tool. Tips are made from hard metal (HM) to cut hardwood and sanding. It can
also be used for any kind of wood, if necessary.

Straight Shank complete with Replaceable Termite Tip art 4025

Made of anti-usury HM metal and suitable for any type of wood, in particular for hard and abrasive woods.

It can be used to improve the finishing both in long grain and cross vein wood, both inside and outside. Keep the handle higher than the centre of the workpiece.

If used for the bottom of the bowl cross vein keeps the cutting edge slightly inclined and rotated aboutØ30 to encourage the cutting of the wood, obtaining so a chip.

Moreover, it is possible to exploit the same shaft for all the finishing scrapers listed among the spare parts. The 16mm ones both for the inside and the outside, while those with measures 23mm only for external.
