It allows you to mill or drill a workpiece directly on the wood lathe after locking the rotation.

The holder can be tilted from 0 to 90 χ. It can be milled in axial or radial directions concerning the axis of the lathe.
A milling machine with a collar of 43 mm is used for milling, to be anchored to the support that slides on technopolymer pads with an anodized structural alloy guide.

For drilling you can use any drill: the hook for the machine can be placed at 90 º.

The mount is 16 mm and you can buy the larger adapter if your lathe requires it.

To lock the rotation of the lathe you can use the index of your lathe or buy our index accessory at 24, 48, and 72 positions.

Ideal for the execution of very deep and wide holes in bowls and vases in solid wood. The useful drilling depth is 250 mm. This operation allows to accelerate the processing times of the internal part of a piece, obtaining an effective and rapid emptying.
It consists of a steel body, available in two different sizes.
The smaller head is equipped with a Ø 55 mm insert, the larger one with a Ø 100 mm insert.
For the use of both heads it is necessary to purchase separately the hexagonal stem CM2, with the relative support for the tool holder of the lathe.
All applicable inserts, available in different sizes, are made of HSS18% W steel and can be re-sharpened.

Order No 4086 includes:
Boring bit body with insert Ø 55 mm (the stem is not included). It can mount the OPTIONAL knives from Ø 40 mm to 65 mm.

Order No 4087 includes:
Boring bit body with insert Ø 100 mm (the stem is not included). It can mount OPTIONAL knives from Ø 70 mm to 95 mm.

Order No 4088 includes:
Hexagonal stem CM2 and support with Ø 16 mm pin for the lathe tool holder Can be used with art. 4086 and art. 4087

Bit support
Creating a large diameter hole in the wood requires a lot of energy. To work in safe conditions and to ensure maximum drilling efficiency, insert the bit shaft into a support, provided with a Ø 16 mm pin, to be placed in the tool holder sleeve. The latter is able to absorb the effort of rotation and, at the same time, to guide the tip while advancing with the tailstock of the two or more steps necessary to perform the complete drilling. Adapters for larger lathes (OPTIONAL) are available.

Inserts in HSS
The centering slot facilitates the positioning of the plate in the tip body. The insert is secured by two retaining screws.

When you want to turn a thin and long object, the wood may easily break; in these cases, it is very useful to support the piece with a steady rest.

The steady rest is also very useful for providing support for turning pots and bowls.
The steel arms can be adjusted in several positions and configurations; they can be adapted from Ø 5 mm up to 160 mm. The transparent silicone wheels, on double ball bearings, allow an excellent operation without 'marking' the wood.

The base plate is made of steel and is suitable for all models of lathes on the market.

The extruded aluminum column is rigid and the system offers good strength, especially in the direction of the turning effort.
